Welcome to the Charolés Restaurant in San Lorenzo del Escorial, a benchmark of gastronomy in the Madrid mountains since 1977, the year in which Manuel Míguez opened its doors.
...Its menu, with traditional and creative dishes, is marked from the beginning by the highest quality of its raw materials and careful preparation, which together with efficient service complete the tandem of excellence. It maintains the consecrated dishes, updating the menus with variations almost daily based on seasonal market products.
The "star dish" is THE GREAT CHAROLÉS COOK, which in the restaurant's line with respect to the nobility of the raw materials and laborious and careful preparation, has given it the well-deserved fame and recognition as "The Best COOK IN THE WORLD".
It consists of three rooms with granite walls and ceilings with wooden beams from the 16th century. It also has two independent historical rooms of great beauty for private celebrations of 20 to 30 people, the "Bóveda Herreriana" and the allegorical room of the "Liberal Arts".
It also has two terraces, one on Floridablanca street, at the top of the wall built by Juan de Herrera, enjoyable practically all year round, in front of the Monastery, where you can contemplate its Towers while having lunch, and another on San street. Lorenzo, with its own microclimate, ideal for summer.
